Wow, congrats Hans! Nice machine, TigerDirect has the i5 model for $1649. I bought an Asus T-91 MT about a year ago, and found that I had wasted $500. It’s way too wimpy to do what I need, which is take handwritten notes->*.pdf in meetings, then email them to my work account. I still haven’t found a really good solution for that, but a LiveScribe smart pen comes close.
That being said, the Asus slate works well as a reader, but any netbook would do the same, more quickly and for $150 less. And my Galaxy Tab does it better; but alas, no note taking ability.
I have been watching the Asus Eee-note, supposedly coming to the US for under $200. That one might work for me, we’ll see.
