Isnt there some sort of gentlemen't agreement that you don't call your product the same thing as somebody else's better known product? Google didn't call their word processor google Word, even though "word" is even more generic than app store. Android marketplace is pretty much the android app store, but they don't call it that, because they don't want to get sued, and because they have some freaking pride! Samsung don't call their tablet the Samsung Pad, or RIM the BlackPad. That's the kind of stuff cheap Chibese copycats do, not multi billion dollar major players.
Sorry, this is a cheap shot by amazon. They're appropriating a better known brand, counting on apple to sue them so they get some free publicity. But since apple is evil, it's okay, right?
