The one I have isn't. I have Amazon's K3 lighted cover and my hubby wont let me use it. It shines in his eyes so It really depends on which side you sleep on.
I use my TravelFlex which I position away from him. Still it's a nice cover for night reading if he is at work or your spouse sleeps on the left side of the bed.
