You are not the only one... I have tried as well.
Not much success so far but my second attempt seems promising. I have some knowledge of linux so I guess that could help out to figure out what is wrong.
I am following what is going on on the VM Cruz reader and PD Novel formus to help me out. Since both devices are close enough to the IQ, I am sure it might help somehow.
