The RT9239_INT.qxd... stuff will be hidden text inside the PDF. It can be removed with software like Adobe Acrobat.

As dwanthny says, Briss merely "hides" your unwanted data. It does not produce PDFs which are suitable for converting with Calibre. What you can do is use Briss to chop each page in half (top & bottom, or left & right). The resulting cropped & chopped PDF can then be read more easily on your reader. Although how good your ereader is at handling PDFs will determine how acceptable the results are. I've found my PRS650 to be quite good but my PocketBook 360 is another story.
