Imagine trying to program a video recorder, following instructions written in a very foreign language. Now imagine trying to first set the clock, then program it to record several different shows using different antennas, different times and stations, some being bi-lingual while others are only sub-titled, while watching a different channel. THAT is what it feels like to me! 
Anyone have a 12 year old kid they can lend me? I'm sure that would get the job done in minutes!

Can't be a Japanese product though. It would have a 50 page manual with pictures and the set-up would be finished in minutes.
