Thanks for taken a look at this issue TFethryDuck.
Actually I tried too to download a book from guttenberg at the result was surprisingly better than I had before. Accents are now in the same font than the rest of the text.

I was sure my previous text file was UTF8 too, so I have to test that again. (I am with Ubuntu at home)

The biggest problem is the text format, words with accents are truncated.
I finally managed to do a printscreen thanks to you, and reported in one page the three common issue we meet with three dot colors, but there are probably more. (You seems to have problems with the î letter on your printscreen)

But it is a good step for me I can deal with that for now.
And I have to say, I really love Duokan. The category page is perfect (multiple folders, what a dream to organise my pdf articles) and it is far better to read mangas on it than the buggy amazon one. Happy user here.
