Unless it has changed since summer 2007, I wonder what would you say about British trains then...
I had a very nice time in my garden today. The first outing since October

Well, what has changed is that the trains were privatized and split in two companies: one for maintenance (Pro-Rail) and one for train-traffic (NS, Dutch Railways). Things have gone down since.

The trains don't run on time; every year there's trouble with 'fallen leaves' on the rails, in autumn......copperthieves. And so on.

The latest is that they've ordered trains without toilet-facilities
It is annoying because one never knows when to leave. I had this important event in Amsterdam; an inauguration of a friend. I left 2 hours in advance; that is, non-scheduled. And I was half an hour late, because the train had to return to the original station.

But; nice weather today. Slaved in my garden and it looks absolutely nice and clean now. The good part: my partner helped and we had a large glass of white wine after our work. The good life.
