Welcome to the forum!

I will help you with what I can.... I have a White 7" PDN with 2.1 OS, but I "assume" it runs the same Pandigital Program as the Black 7" PDN with 1.5 OS.

1)if i purchase a book or books. can i just start the barns&noble app and if i am online will it automatically d/l it. 2)if not what do i do? do i have to d/l to a sd card and then download from that?

Since your PDN only has 2 GB(?), you might want to add a SD card for more room for books, etc. AND, if you plan to modify your PDN, you will want to update your SD cards (microSD & external SD ones) with more GB. See slatedroid.com to see what others have done.

If you have epub or pdf books you can load them on the SD card from your computer, and view them on the "Application Quick Launch Bar" - scroll over to "Adobe ebooks" and all your epubs should be there.

You can get your Barnes & Noble books on the PDN via wi-fi. Get on wi-fi, then click on "My Library" on the "Application Quick Launch Bar". Then click "Get books". If you aren't on wi-fi, it will ask you if you want to turn on wi-fi. Then a list should load up with your purchased books. Click on all the books you want to put on your PDN, and they should load up.

3)has any one installed the android open platform on the Pandigital site. if so is it worth doing and what does it allow you to do that the 2011301 update does not do. 5)when installing apps do i have use only android 1.5 and do they have to be from the google market or slideme or can it be any other?

I have not. I used a different program to modify my white PDN. I "assume" that the open platform will let you add android apps, but you will not be able to get them from the android store.

Check out the forums on slatedroid.com, and look up what others say about your Black PDN.

7)also this is suppose to play video but i can not find the video player.

The video should be on your "Application Quick Launch Bar" on the bottom of your device. There should be a "Video" button.
