Contemplating computers.

After my holiday in May I wanted to buy Windows 7 for my PC which is about €180. But I realized my PC is getting on and chances are I want to get a new one within the near future. Do I want to spend nearly €200 and use in one year (okay, my father is going to get this PC, but he doesn't care about the OS).

Or is it a good idea to not buy Windows 7 and start saving for a new computer when I get back. I've been looking around and the PC I want is about €1000 (for medium gaming and graphic use). In the past it wouldn't have mattered because I would buy all the parts and put it together myself but nowadays it isn't much more expensive to buy one already put together (plus it saves me a lot of time and sanity).

Decisions, decisions...
