Thankfully, one can cancel pre-orders. Hopefully that brings their sales ranking down from the boost they no doubt intended to scoop for their glorified sample.
I was mildly tempted to do it with an additional note of protest to Kindle Customer Service, but I figure they deserve better than to have to put up with complaints about what is actually the underhanded publisher's fault.
Instead, I have one more imprint to add to the list of "you'd better be giving me a very good deal, otherwise I'm going to pass entirely on your overpriced shenanigans".
