Now Borders is selling cards too. I won't buy theirs either. But at least they're not jerks about it, and take "no" for an answer; B&N, in my experience, won't take "sod off and die" for an answer.

Oh, I hate those things. That said, the Borders one is free and the B&N one is something ridiculous like $25/year. I believe I have a Borders card because I wanted a 40% off coupon several years ago, but I'm not paying for a loyalty card.
