I like Borders but B&N and BAM do have a bigger selection. I'm not into the Christian/Inspirational thing but they still have more. I have a BAM in my little suburb of New Orleans and I have a B&N in a neighborning town. I like the "feel" of the B&N more and will go there but the BAM has been open for about 15 years.

When I am in the city, there is (until May) a Borders on Vets in Metairie and a B&N not far away. the B&N gets my business when I am S. of the lake because of the selection thing. The big Borders on St. Charles in the old Bultman building opened not too long ago and it is closing as well, which is unfortunate as it is huge and has a good selection as well as being a very cool location.
