It will do a LOT of good. Perhaps it may even save the life of another patient. Nurses (and doctors, for that matter,) are not Gods. They make mistakes just as any other human doing a job. Only when they make a mistake, other people suffer.

Because of such incompetence, it's now a law in Japan that all nurses must double check with the patients, showing the patients the doctor's order and the prescribed meds, be they pill or injection, show the label on the medicine package and verify with the patient that they are receiving the correct stuff!

Every morning, and of course at my age, several times during the night, I have to climb my way back to vertical. I'm NOT a happy camper. It's almost enough to make me give up drinking tea!

Betty, EVERYBODY wins when someone champions their needs. This nurse was NOT being helpful; she was being harmful. Perhaps because of your determined stance a lot of people will win in the future. Fighting is never fun, but it's often necessary. I, for one, applaud you!
