Agreed - I also have downloaded ePubs for all my purchased Kobo books for backup, even though I don't use them on my reader.

MorganM - another thought (something I might do). If your kobo account doesn't show your books on the website - did you perhaps accidentally create 2 Kobo accounts with different email addresses?
