Too be perfectly honest, how would I possibly know that it was an Amazon exclusive? I start with Amazon... if they don't have a book I'm looking for, I start to look in other places. I rarely have to take that second step.
Unless it has a big, red Amazon-Exclusive banner on the product description, I'm happily clueless about who else is allowed to sell it (and even that scenario might not be enough for me to notice).
But to answer the question; certainly I would. If it's a book that I want and no one else has it... you bet your ass. I don't buy (or not buy) books to send "messages." I just like to read.
