@HTung: Like I said, the hack doesn't touch it, so my guess would be something else is preventing your Kindle to enter the sleep state (That's the first time I've heard of an issue like that, though).
Check again with the default screensavers and the hack enabled (they're in the linkss/backups folder), and then try with the hack disabled (rename/remove the 'auto' file in the linkss folder). Don't forget to do a full proper restart. If it works, my guess would be that somehow one of your custom pictures is upsetting the Kindle framework...
