dpierron: Kobo does this. And yes, I wish my Sony reader could do it. You can do it manually by extracting the cover file from the epub and dragging it into the images folder, then selecting it on the device. I think someone on here had a script that automates part of the process. Are you involved in Calibre development? I would love to see Calibre have an option to send the cover image to the images folder. Also, I recently noticed that the cover images Calibre downloaded were really tiny. I'm not sure if there is a setting for the image size I want in Calibre.
