My number 1 issue was diabetes, and that is going great. Have become sensitive to insulin for the first time in the 2000's, and must skip a shot altogether on pool days or else risk hyperglycemia. So it is all good, even if the scale does not show it.

These are the things that matter most. Keep in mind that you're exercising, so your builing muscle which weighs more than fat. It sounds like you're on the right track, keep it up!

I need to lose probably another 10 or 15 lbs, but I think I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing, foodwise. I'm trying to not eat processed foods, and have added a lot of fresh vegetables and whole grains to my diet. I walked around a couple of blocks yesterday morning, and then hiked an easy (and level!) short trail at the park in the afternoon. I walked around 3 blocks this morning, and probably could have gone further except my legs started getting a bit "heavy". I go back tomorrow for my 3 week followup to my surgery, and although I don't think she will absolutely release me for all activity, I think she will loosen up a lot. I woke up feeling great, and not sore at all, this morning. Spring has sprung!

You really are an inspiration! Congratulations!
I'm actually really surprised how a couple of kilo's can make such a big difference. I lost about 4kg, and I can feel the difference in my clothing, but also while exercising and in my day to day routine. It's a nice feeling
