I've read through this thread as thoroughly as I could but couldn't find the answer to my question. Sorry if I missed it.
I have Kindle 2i with jailbreak and screen saver hack installed. I noticed the dead author screen savers are saved to a backup directory.
If I delete these files and then uninstall the screen saver hack, will it be able to restore the dead author screen savers without the backup copies?
If I were to replace those backups with my own pictures but with the same names, will it use those instead of the dead authors after uninstalling the hack?
How were the backups created? Is it possible to just overwrite the original files (through the hack process) with files of my own choice?
