Sorry, just noticed your location field. I think perhaps you might run into that other geo-restriction problem, of half the catalogue of stuff you want just plain disappearing entirely.
But yeah, it will be interesting to find out. Perhaps you could ask your CC company to add your Malaysian address as a secondary billing address for your credit card and have it be valid that way if it turns out Kobo does check?
