The fastest way to get a full list of books by author/title is to go to Calibre Preferences - Plugins - Device Interface - Sony - Customise and add the following to the Collections box (i.e. the one labelled 'Comma separated list of metadata fields...'):

This is one of two Calibre 'special' Sony Collections. The other is (no prizes for guessing what this one does)

The % char in %All by Author just makes sure that the Collection appears on page 1 of your Collection list.

Can't you just remove the word tags from the Collections box described above to achieve this?
