To the OP

Check out the Singarpore Library. It is for free has tons of ebooks, new ones and even has a lot of mobis. Problem with mobis is, you are stuck with the book for 3 weeks, no chance of an early return as you can do with Overdrive.

Personally I would never buy a Kindle. Having a push-button device (which btw looks a zillion times better than the Kindle) and a Sony with the same screen as the Kindle but has IR technology there is a world of difference in the reading experience.

Also the Sony has collections, shows the cover titels, lets you choose your screensaver freely and....

I could go on for quite a while why I would always fork out for a Sony. Here we say: The one who buys cheap buys twice. And when I have a look at the Kindle forums where they have long threads 'when will there be a touchscreen' and 'I want epub' I know this is a very true saying once again.
