Note: This
sideloading process works for non-DRMed books. You can use the Kindle app to directly download purchased books. I use calibre to convert books, but I've never used it to sideload so I can't help you there. But the method below is REALLY easy.
- Connect your iPad to the computer and open iTunes.
- Select your iPad in iTunes and select the Apps tab.
- Locate and select Kindle under File Sharing: Apps.
- Now simply select and drag your MOBI book from you computer File Explorer to File Sharing: Kindle Documents in iTunes.
- Sync and your all done!
The same process works for a lot of iPad apps including several eBook readers.
