That is a truly wonderful deal!
Gutenberg is ok, but their books are not formated very well, and have all that silly legalese up front.
One of my favorite sources for similar Public Domain Ebooks is
http://www.feedbooks.com/publicdomain
The public domain feedbooks titles have MUCH better formatting than the same titles on Gutenberg.
The feedbooks titles often have nice cover art, and preceding the text, instead of stupid meaningless legalese like Gutenberg, feedbooks includes a nice author bio, along with a lot of other nice features like DropCap chapter headings and Tables Of Contents.
The only thing to be careful about on feedbooks, is that they also SELL some of these older titles, and quite often you have to scroll down a little in the search listings before you will find that there is ALSO a FREE version.

Sounds like you already have an Overdrive account at your local library, so you're good to go there. Hope you enjoy your new reader!
