wifi, free ebooks
Sorry, I meant "free ebooks". One of the web pages they were floating around said "1000's of free ebooks". Once I wrote Support, it seems to have disappeared. So, that criticism was accurate or they would still be using it as a selling point.
WiFi - It doesn't matter where you are - it's not network speed that's the problem. It happens on any network you're on - it's just slow. I have yet to find a network that will stream youtube fast enough to be usable. I have tried all of the coffee shops around here, 2 or 3 restaurants, and b&n itself. Same problem - way too slow. IF you have the video downloaded, then yes it will play correctly - but that's not the point. In fact, I can connect it to my home network, pull up the same video on my PC via wireless, and it will play while the Nook will not.
But, like I said, don't take my word for it. Try it yourself.
To those who wrote rude replies: This forum is for an exchange of information, not to exercise your ego demons. Give people the benefit of the doubt, try out what they are saying, and if your experience is different just say so.
