The article is a very nice overview of historical Arthur research. It and the DVD would be plenty of background for anyone interested in Arthur. It gives an idea of how little is known about the warlord or warlords whose fragmented stories might have been cobbled together to create the Arthur character. Seven or eight oblique references over a period of a couple of centuries in the first millenium that sparked the imaginations of generations of storytellers.
