Well, apparently I haven't forgotten everything I used to know about sewing...only most of it, LOL.
Chris finally made good on his threat to buy me a sewing machine, after listening to me complain about the price of table linens (I wanted a new table runner for the dining room). After about the sixth time I said, "But I could make that cheaper..." I think he decided that I probably could. So I found a pattern and started on me a nice new spring themed table set. I'm actually amazed at how much came back to me after I got started...it's been probably ten years at least since I touched a sewing machine.
You can see that it's not finished; I have to press it and slip stitch the end. There's also a ribbon or trim to be added between the print and solid.
