So instead of telling us why you think you wouldn't like it... give it shot. Worst case scenario is; you're right back here telling us why you didn't like it. Except that then, you'll also have a pot to pi$$ in.
1. I never read unfinished series (I made such a mistake once, in 1998, since then I created the rule and diligently follow it). So reading ASOIAF now or in the near future (like 5 -12 years taking into the account that the author takes 5-6 years for each book) is not an imminent event.

2. My TBR list is around 150 books. So I am not that desperate

3. I take an opportunity to follow the discussions about the series as long as they are spoilers free in order to make up my mind. That is how I decide what to add to my TBR list.

4. Unfortunately, I have the first 4 brand new hardbacks (1-3 USA editions, 4th the UK edition) sitting on my bookshelves behind a glass door. When I finally start selling books on ebay (if ever, I am planning to start doing it for 2 years now and didn't move a finger about it, stupid/lazy me, never sold a thing in my life) I will sell the books.

5. It is not about wasting money but wasting my time, which far more precious. I am a slow reader. A thick volume like any of the first 4, would take me a whole month of my life time. So, I am very careful about what I choose to read. I must avoid disappointments. Naturally, mistakes happen, but less often with this approach.

Did I answer all the questions?
