If your the type of person who in an area with out wi-fi coverage and must absolutely be able to download a book then and there you will probably want the 3G version. If your the type of person who can wait till they get to a wifi hot spot to get a book you will probably be fine with the wifi only. Personally I would take the money I have saved and use it to load up some books on the reader and if I am ever in the middle of nowhere at least I will have a few choices.
