I can connect my Libre to my computer to transfer books and what I'm reading is not affected......period. I have several library books on there that are expired and have not yet read but when I get a notice that a book I have on hold is available I will download then connect to transfer from computer to Libre. Nothing happens to the unread, expired books on my Libre.
