I think if the accent weren't so blatantly over the top and ridiculous (I suppose a British person COULD have that type of accent, I've just never heard it), I wouldn't be half as annoyed, but yes, the volume is also a factor.

I'm also extremely adaptable to accents, or at least I've been told. I'm not from Georgia originally (I was born in WV), but within probably a week of moving here I'd picked up a very heavy Southern accent, without even trying!
