To transfer any I want, do I just put SD card in PRS650, attach to computer, fire up Media Player, and then sync like I would to any other mp3 player ? (Presumably listing the device first, of course, which I presume will happen/come up automatically ?)
And the content will then be on the card ?

For audiobooks, be sure the cover pic is linked to both the album (book) itself, as well as each part - right click on each part to bring up the Advanced Tag Editor for that; otherwise, your book might not have any art while playing (which annoys me, but might be okay with you).
You can sync to the internal memory, but I only do that with small files ... anything much longer than a couple of hours, I'd keep on the card. Besides a book taking up a lot of room, if you were going to be away from your novel for a bit, you could make a note of where you're leaving off, pop out the card to "re-set" the audio bookmark to zero, and come back to that point later on, avoiding the "Do you want to resume your audio?" message.
