I realized I've been around here for a bit and not introduced myself, which seems to be the thing to do.

My name is Gideon - I'm a Religious Studies student at the University of Oklahoma. I also run a blog primarily focused on student productivity which was doing pretty damn well before I had to take it offline for a bit - but I'm building it back up. It used to be Scholastici.us and is now MindfulIk.com.

I had, once, an ebook reader many years ago that really sucked. Don't remember what it was, but since then I've had all manner of PDA's and such that I tried to make a decent book reader. All failed.

The new Sony Reader 505 was my first taste of a "real" reader and I loved it, but one day of using it in class made it apparent it would not work for me since I plan on using my device primarily with school the Kindle's search and underline tool are necessary evils (and I do love the idea of getting some of those magazines - on a reader I'll actually, you know, read them!) I hence returned my Sony Reader and am waiting for my Kindle now - which should arrive any day.

Anyway, great community here... I love to see this kind of involvement with products - it means you've got some real options and good devices.
