Most of the electronic reader screens fall into two groups: LCD and eink. Personally I preferr the LCD but thats a matter of taste. I have personally read some interesting series in the fantasy genre like you however i have a rather distate for the $10 cost of novels that seems to predominate these days, would rather pay less then that for books. Used to like Terry Goodkind until he got discovered and the costs of his novels went from $8 to $10, personally I would rather pay the $8.

There is a different Outlander series that I think of when I talk about Outlanders, its from Golden Eagle Library, a unit of Harlequin books. Its labled as written by James Axler but it really isn't.

Could never seem to like Gregory Martin, his switching of points of view seemed to be too confusing to me.

I might try out riftwar, however right now I am working on Harry Turledove, Southern Victory volume 2, American Front.
