All Kindle books (and I mean, from amazon, and not simply MOBIs) that are displayed as $0.00 on the amazon "home" screen as I see it (because I'm not from the US), turn out to be $2.33/4/5/6 when I click on them. A bargain but still.... $0.00 has a certain psychological impact that's annihilated by the non-US price.

Now, if it's MOBI books you're after (the DRM-free format that the Kindle supports), you can check out the "ebooks" section right here on MobileRead or even try Project Guttenberg. They actually are $0.00.
