ADE under Wine isn't too terribly difficult. The first requirement is a fairly recent version of Wine (>=1.2). I then installed an older version of Firefox (under Wine) -- I have trouble getting the Flash plugin to work on anything >= 3.6, so I still use FF 3.5. Then install the Flash plugin for FF. After that... it's a can of corn to go browse Adobe's site and click on the ADE install link.
