Personally, I would go Sony or Nook over Kindle, due to the larger number of places you can buy from with those. With the Kindle, you're a little more limited at where you can buy, due to the proprietary format. I also wouldn't forget the Kobo reader. It is another good ADE based eInk reader (like the original nook and Sony's readers) , and is low priced ($99, but can be found at $79 in some areas).
