I find the 6" - 7" size is small enough to fit in a jacket pocket and does offer a much more enjoyable experience than being forced to use an needlessly bulky 4.3" phone all the time while being clearly more portable than a 10" tablet that would require you to put it in a bag and isn't actually that comfortable to hold up for as long as a smaller model.

For me the ideal combination would be a smaller and lighter phone, a 7" tablet or kindle and then a 10" tablet for home use where it is still more suited to reading than a normal pc.
