Hi guys. I joined up after reading the very informative Wiki page on how to hack Kindle screensavers. I followed all the instructions and it does work, but the only problem I'm having is getting the images I put in the screensaver folder to randomize. I stuck a 'random' file in the linkss folder and they still show in alphabetical order. I've updated, rebooted and all of that and they still stubbornly won't be random. Am I missing something here? The 'random' file was made from a copied and renamed autoreboot file.

I have these files in my linkss folder at the moment:

auto
auto reboot
mounted_600x800
random

Any help insight would be appreciated. I have a Kindle 3G UK model. The hack itself is brilliant, thank you. It's fab seeing my custom stuff on there, no offense Emily Bronte but I much prefer to see Gandalf! lol :-)

Jess.
