I have a friend who also has a preorder in for the Kno who bought the EP121 and is either selling it or returning it. Knowing that I wouldn't have to wait, and could just buy it from him, I seriously thought about it, but felt like I would be settling. If I'm going to settle, I may as well get an iPad for half the price, which is the tablet, that my friend told me, he uses the most. So... I just ordered an ipad.
As for the Kno, who knows what's going on w/ them. I last heard that they were selling their hardware division, which was one week after they called and said that shipment was delayed an additional 60 days. I've been waiting for my Kno since Xmas. If it ships, I have 30 days to decide if I want to keep it and sell the iPad. If it doesn't, at least I'm not sitting around waiting for it.
BTW, they didn't ship any units, they just "said" that they did. I haven't found a single pre-order on the net that got their unit. And one of their former employees said that he wasn't able to keep his, so... I doubt there are any in the wild right now.
And they sent me a shirt! Ha! Nice rag, that will be!

Your friend can always sell the EP121 to me (if it is the 4GB RAM/64GB SSD version). The 3 hours battery life should be for video streaming over WiFi, not for regular work. The price is really not expensive for a computer with these specs --- you can't compare it to an iPad or an Android tablet, you must compare it to a MacBook. The question is, do you need the extra power.
As far as the "palm problem", an easy solution is to turn off the touch screen when you are using the pen.
It is "settling" to some extent. The new SandyBridge processors should almost double the battery life, then it would be the no compromise solution. If I had an EP 121 I would take an external battery with me.
