I use Calibre in Ubuntu to manage my books. I'm only willing to pay for books from DRM-free sources (like Baen), but I have borrowed books from the library.

To do that, I boot a Windows machine to download the book using Adobe Desktop Edition and strip the DRM there before copying to my Linux machine.
