I have both an e-ink reader and a Nook Color. My Nook Color is rooted.

For my NC usage, I would say it is 85% reading books and 15% web surfing. Granted, I use B&N for my magazines and Kindle for Android for 98% of my books. Kindle for Android was the main reason that I rooted my Nook in the first place.
