All MobiPocket files I have looked at using mobi2mobi have been pdb files even if the extension have been .prc. My programs would not work if they were resource databases since the data is accessed in a different way in that case. The MobiPocket files I create with Mobiperl are not resource databases. At least not according to the Palm/Doc.pm module.
