Another option might be to convert the file to jpg. I exported the file to jpg using Adobe Professional but got an error when trying to open the files on the DR. Is there another program that could export the pages as a jpg or png that would speed up loading the pages.
Another thing you might try is to convert the pdf file to djvu but don't run the OCR option.
Are you just curious about this particular file or do you have several like this one that are slow to open and advance through?
