I fly economy class on Thai Airways - but only between Melbourne and Bangkok. Orange juice, hot towel, and gorgeous, attentive cabin crew (male or female, whatever your taste is).
In busier parts of the world, they may not be as gentle. "YMMV" as they say in the classics.
