I agree with Cgray that it is indeed a great device "as is", but what is really frustrating that it could be so much more with so little effort from B&N. As previous posters already pointed out, if the device is supposed to be "reading-centric", at least the reading applications (PDF, EPUB, www etc.) should be on the same (or higher) level with the competitive products on the market. At the moment they really are not.

Even though NC is working and is fulfilling its purpose very well, it can be a frustrating device to use if you already expect a certain reading quality of it (for instance, if you have used other similar devices/applications before).

I really really really like my NC, but it feels such a waste to see all that potential go to waste just because someone has made a lazy/cheap job while making the software for the device..
