My early gen 3 is still chugging along and used every day. Always in the leather case, but I've even slept on it a few times and it is still perfect!
On the other hand, my new Orizon has just been posted for sale on ebay under "Cybook Orizon E-Book Reader--Black Listing 180636145830".
