Have any of you quit smoking and gained weight? I quit almost a year ago and actually dropped 4kg or so, oh don't be happy, I have put it all back on and then some. The last 6 months have been hell, I think I put on 8 or 9 kg. I have never had an issue with weight, I was pleasantly in the upper range of my "Suggested" weight for 30 years. I've always been more active than I have been here, it is too damn hot to exercise outside and I prefer to walk than go to the gym. I go to the largest mall here and do laps a couple times a week and I try to swim at least once a week, I'd swim more but the pool isn't always available. I'm sure this is an age thing :P

So my real question is, what's the safest way to drop the calories and should I reconsider the gym?
