Personalising ebooks

I am asking this question on behalf of a friend who isn't a member.

He creates personalised books for children. Basically stories with the childs' name in them. He has now decided to offer these as ebooks.

His current workflow is:
1: Open book in M$ word
2: Search and replace **** with the childs name
3: Save as filtered html
4: Load into Calibre and convert to appropriate eBook format.

Is there any way to do this all in Calibre without him having to use M$ Word at all? He is a little technically challenged so it would need to be pretty easy for him to do.

TIA
